Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center
The Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC) is housed within the Center for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health. We serve Region VIII of the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) training center network – which includes Colorado, Montana, North and South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.
RM-PHTC offers convenient and flexible training that addresses critical public health issues. Together with our training partners, we are building and sustaining a skilled public workforce— today, and for the future!

Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias affect memory, thinking, and daily functioning, making them a growing concern for public health. This training introduces the types and stages of ADRD, explores their impact on individuals and communities, and highlights why public health professionals play a key role in addressing them.

How do you design a meeting so it is focused, effective, and engaging? This workshop focuses on the key leadership skill of how to plan and structure a meeting to achieve your desired outcomes.

The goal of this 10-week course is to help professionals in public health, mental health, public policy, and global health think critically about issues of health equity, and how you can utilize evidence-based decision-making as a tool to advance equity in your communities.

This 10-week course uses highly interactive activities to build your capacity to facilitate meetings and coalitions that are efficient, effective, and lead to results.

In this interactive workshop, participants will walk through the process of building a grant budget that is directly linked to a project scope of work. The workshop will cover details of common budget categories and specific line items to include with each category, along with appropriate calculations and justification to include in budget narratives.
